Summit County Colorado has some of the highest gas prices in the state with gas stations in Breckenridge, Keystone, Dillon, Frisco, and Silverthorne.
These high gas prices in Summit County have prompted local community groups and politicians to petition the state to investigate alleged price gouging and price fixing. Attorney General John Suthers has refused to do so. Keep this in mind when voting in 2006.
Summit County Colorado gas prices can vary 20% or more from one station to another. The best way to find cheap gas in Summit County is to use the gas price listing sites listed below. Some other things to keep in mind are:
The Conoco at 440 N Park Ave in Breckenridge usually has some of the best gas prices in all of Summit County. Here you can also use a City Market Value Card to save an additional $0.03 per gallon. These cards are available for free right next door at City Market.
The City Market Value Card can also be used at the Conoco at 201 Main Street in Frisco. This is the gas station that usually has the cheapest gas prices in Frisco.
Almost all gas stations in Summit County have a price for Regular gas and then charge $0.10 and $0.20 more for Plus and Super respectively. One notable exception is the Conoco at 715 S Main St in Breckenridge. Here Plus and Super are generally quite a bit more expensive.
The Texaco at 21799 Us Hwy 6 in Keystone is the most expensive gas station in Summit County and is in fact one of the most expensive gas stations in the entire country.
Summit County Colorado has an extensive and free public transportation system.
Coloradogasprices.com : This is a consumer driven website which has great potential to help force Summit County gas stations to price their gas more competitively. I post gas prices as "Summit_Realtor" and I am pretty good about keeping Breckenridge gas prices up to date.
