I just spoke with the Environmental Health
Department regarding the septic
permitting process. They require 2 Inspections. One is the
"onsite" inspection which
requires that the lot be staked with the locations on the home
and septic system
identified. The onsite inspection costs $130. The second
inspection is the "profile
hole" inspection where they confirm the soil composition
which costs $90. The
actual septic permit fee is $450. A new well permit is $480.
