The Shops at Atlas Park Phase II
Glendale, New York
In 2006 Mr. Amenta authored a land plan for the second 10-acre Phase II portion of Atlas Terminals. Phase II was first introduced at the May 2006 International Conference of Shopping Centers in Las Vegas attracting interest from additional national tenants. The conceptual planning suggests the potential to attract significant office occupancy. Subsequent discussions in early 2007 with extended stay and full service hotels and medical service providers, surgical centers and other medical professionals have validate there is significant demand. |
The underlying thinking for Phase II is to extend Atlas Boulevard from 80th Street to 85th Street bring the scale of Atlas Park more in keeping with the surrounding residential neighborhood then the current industrial buildings. Atlas Park is organized as a mixed-use pedestrian environment with shopping on the lower levels and the potential for residential, office and lodging above. No architect has yet been selected to implement the design
