Breckenridge Ski and Snowboard Lessons

Breckenridge Ski School Private Ski Snowboard Lessons

Hello!!! My name is Ted Amenta. I began teaching ski and snowboard lessons with the Breckenridge Ski & Snowboard School in 1994. I've since earned P.S.I.A. Level III and A.A.S.I. Level II ski/snowboard instructor certifications. And although over half of my teaching experience is with adults, I have also earned the Children's Specialist II accreditation. And finally, I also have a P.S.I.A. Level I Telemark certification.

Everyone who books a lesson with me has the option to receive free video analysis. Just mention the desire to do so during our time together. Visit my "BreckSnowPro" YouTube channel to see videos taken with other guests.

If you would like to take a private ski or snowboard lesson with me (or anyone else for that matter) please book well in advance. Breckenridge Ski & Snowboard School private lessons often sell out days ahead of time and even requests are sometimes turned away. Once you have confirmed your air and lodging reservations, lesson and dinner reservations should soon follow.

During peak season (Christmas, Spring Break, and Holiday Weekends) lift lines are sometimes longer than usual, making the benefit of bypassing these lines in a private lesson even more valuable. These are also the times when private ski & snowboard lessons are in the highest demand. So once again, be sure to book your lesson(s) in advance.

Special considerations for the 2020-2021 Season

  • I am unavailable for any additional lessons beyond what I already have booked March 13th-26th.
  • Private lesson bookings include chair-lift access, but you need to be with your instructor to access the lifts if you do not also have your day(s) reserved like any other non-lesson day. So, I suggest reserving all of the days that you want to ski/ride anyway through the normal reservation system. And if there are any days that you are unable to secure a reservation, these might be good ones to book a lesson on. This is refering to the reservation system in place to manage ski area capacity under Covid operating protocals. Private lessons do not include lift tickets.
  • Private lessons should to be booked at least 48 hours in advance. This is because everyone in the lesson, including the instructor, is included in the overall capacity that needs to be considered each day.
  • Ski/Ride day reservations are being taken HERE.
  • Private lesson bookings are being taken, and you can request me (Ted Amenta) to be your instructor, HERE.

Note: these prices are for up to 6 people for a full day, not per person.

You can also call in your reservation at 1 (888) LRN-2-SKI.

  • Please familiarize yourself with policies in place as described HERE.

Please note on the above page that: "For all lessons ... Face coverings will be required."
